About
A marketplace for home bakers, built around how they actually work.
Ovendrop is the storefront, payments, and pickup layer for the people already baking incredible things in their kitchens — built specifically for cottage food law.
Why Ovendrop exists
The legal groundwork was already there.
Cottage food laws have quietly made it legal to sell baked goods from a home kitchen in most states for years now — no permits, no commercial space, no inspection.
The infrastructure wasn't.
Selling has meant text threads with strangers, Venmo guesses, and third-party delivery apps that were never designed for a baker working out of their own kitchen.
So we built it.
A real storefront for every home baker, real reviews, payments that don't feel like a Venmo guess, and pickup that respects everyone's time.

Matthew Hall
Head of Engineering
I started Ovendrop because I kept noticing the gap myself — friends and neighbors making remarkable baked goods with no good way to sell them, and buyers like me with no good way to find them.
Alongside building Ovendrop, I work as a Senior Software Engineer in the financial technology industry, focused on large-scale backend systems and payment infrastructure. That experience has shaped how I think about reliability, trust, and building products people can depend on every day.
I'm still hands-on day to day — reading support emails, reviewing dispute resolutions, and working closely on the experience for both bakers and customers. If you ever have feedback or questions, feel free to reach out directly at hello@ovendrop.com.
The team

Connor Munson
Director of Communications
I helped launch Ovendrop because I truly believe in the vision; This is the next frontier that will bring breadboxes beyond the driveway and create careers out of passion. As a small business owner myself, the opportunity to constantly learn and help others throughout my career drives me. With Ovendrop, I have the unique, exciting opportunity to elevate our partnered bakers to support their passions, grow their businesses, and make a living doing what they love.
